Dr. Samran Haider, a distinguished physician in the fields of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, has carved a remarkable career path marked by exceptional clinical expertise and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Pulmonary and Critical Care attending and the Chief of Critical Care Medicine at Insight Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago since April 2023, Dr. Haider’s contributions to the medical field are both profound and impactful.
His journey towards excellence commenced with a solid educational foundation, earning his M.B., B.S. from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. Driven by a passion for understanding diseases and their treatment, he embarked on a path of continuous learning and professional development. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at Detroit Medical Centre/Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. Subsequently, he pursued fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the same institution, further refining his expertise in managing complex respiratory and critical care cases.
Throughout his career, Dr. Haider has been actively involved in research, focusing on infectious diseases, respiratory complications, and epidemiology. His contributions to medical literature include several peer-reviewed journal articles and abstract presentations, shedding light on critical aspects of healthcare delivery and patient management. His work has been cited over 200 times by his peers.
In addition to his clinical and research commitments, Dr. Haider is dedicated to advancing medical education and quality improvement initiatives. He has been recognized for his teaching abilities and serves as core faculty for internal medicine at Insight Hospital and medical center.
