Dr. G Bradley Bookatz is an orthopedic surgeon at Insight Chicago’s Department of Orthopedics. Prior to joining Insight, Dr. Bookatz was director of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at Community Care Network, Inc. and Community Hospital in Munster, IN. He was also a medical consultant in Chicago. Dr. Bookatz completed his training in orthopedic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and a fellowship in sports medicine at Emory University. He has treated all levels of patients, including college and professional athletes while serving as team physician for Georgia Tech and the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.
Dr. Bookatz treats all non-back and spine related orthopedic conditions and specializes in minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures. He was one of the first surgeons in the Midwest to utilize the quadriceps tendon graft for ACL repair. During his time practicing in Munster, he also took care of patients with non-sports related orthopedic injuries, including fracture care, knee replacement, carpal tunnel surgery, and more. He prides himself on being able to offer patients the latest and best treatment options for conditions or injuries that may or may not require surgery.
Originally from Cleveland, Dr. Bookatz has called the Midwest home for the majority of his life. He enjoys being active during his free time, including playing beach volleyball, pickleball, biking, and hiking.
