Laboratory & Pathology
Insight Chicago offers a wide range of high quality laboratory, pathology, and diagnostic testing services in our on-site accredited lab facilities.

Insight Hospital & Medical Center Chicago’s pathology and laboratory program supplies physicians and healthcare providers with vital diagnostic information to support the diagnosis and treatment of disease and illness. Laboratory and pathology services play a vital role in the care of patients at Insight.

Our pathology clinicians study and diagnose disease through the examination of blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids. An example of a pathology function is the examination of blood taken at a physician’s office to assist in the identification and treatment of illness. Other common blood tests include A1C values for diabetics and complete blood count (CBC), which identifies the presence of disease or illness through abnormal blood cell values. Biopsy, which examines a mole or skin lesion for cancer, is another common laboratory and pathology service.
