Dr. Harriet Lewis

Harriet Lewis PhD is Founder/CEO of Konesens Development, a boutique consultancy that furthers peace and inclusion through corporate social responsibility/diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (CSR/DEIB) training and support; international trade; and tourism development.
In addition to Konesens Development, Dr. Lewis is a Senior Advisor at IMAN. In 2018, she was appointed as Honorary Consul for the Republic of Cabo Verde to the State of Illinois. She serves on the board and is the United Nations Representative of the Nigerian NGO, NEEDCSI, which fosters peacebuilding, violence prevention, and livelihoods training; is a Co-Chair of the Re-Defining National Security (RDNS) Working Group for Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security, and Conflict Transformation (WCAPS); and is on the DEI Committee of the Alzheimer’s Association-Illinois Chapter.
Dr. Lewis co-founded Konesens Research, a market research firm where she provided strategic analysis for businesses and quasi-governmental agencies in the areas of exporting and tourism development; and has held various executive leadership positions with nonprofit and non-governmental organizations that serve survivors of domestic violence, refugees and immigrants, formerly incarcerated individuals, small business owners, and urban youth. In 2004, she was recognized by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ House of Representatives for her work on behalf of survivors.
A former Peace Corps Volunteer to Guinea-Bissau who trained in Cabo Verde, she is a member of several organizations and chambers of commerce, including Rotary One in Chicago, the Executives’ Club of Chicago, and the Chicago International Trade Commissioners Association (CITCA).
Dr. Lewis has presented internationally to leaders in business, health professions, and government, and her current research interests include international development, social and economic equity, export promotion, human rights, interfaith social action, cultural conflict, peacebuilding, and workplace diversity and inclusion. Dr. Lewis holds a Bachelor’s in Communications and Master’s in Public Administration, both from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a doctorate in Human Services from Walden University.

Habeeb Quadri

Habeeb Quadri is an educator, author, and youth activist. He’s been in education for over 20 years as a teacher, principal, and superintendent of MCC Academy. In August of 2019, Habeeb was recognized with the National Distinguished Principal award by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), which was followed by both the Village of Morton Grove and Skokie each awarding him with a “Habeeb Quadri Day” on October 28th and December 2nd, respectively in each city. He is currently holds an appointment at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education Principals’ Advisory Board where he is a part-time staff member in the Professional Development Program. Habeeb is also a chairman of the Illinois Coalition of Nonpublic Schools (ICNS), representing more than 2,000 private schools. In addition to teaching and holding administration roles in both public and private schools, Habeeb has delivered over 1,000 lectures throughout the United States and several countries on leadership, education, and youth. In 2006, Habeeb founded High Quality Educational Consulting, an education consulting company, from which he has conducted workshops for the U.S. Department of State, numerous local, national, and international schools and universities in countries around the world including Kenya, Singapore, Pakistan, Canada, Qatar, and more. For all the work he has done in the Muslim community, he was also awarded the Lifetime Educational Achievement Award by the Islamic Society of North America. He has also co-authored five books and written over a dozen articles on youth, parenting, and education. She holds a bachelor’s in teaching of history from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master’s in school administration from Wayne State University.

Alaa Abdeldaiem

Alaa Abdeldaiem works at the Islamic Society of North America as a member of the institution’s youth department, overseeing the portfolio’s largest youth program, The Muslim Youth of North America (MYNA). She is also pursuing a master’s degree in social work and non-profit management from the University of Chicago. Alaa is committed to supporting the Muslim community to overcome mental health stigmas and solve existing disparities. A storyteller at heart, Alaa was a journalist with Sports Illustrated and the Indy Star where she used the power of sports journalism to create bridges for cultural understanding. She currently lives in Chicago and enjoys reading and writing in her free time.

Amjad Quadri

Amjad M. Quadri, Regional Manager, joined the Chicago office of Saturna Capital in June 2015. He brings experience in Islamic banking, including business and product development. Previous employers include Guidance Financial (Chicago) and University Bank (Ann Arbor MI). He has a BS in Information Decision Sciences from the University of Illinois.

Maryum Rasool

Maryum Rasool, MSA, is the Executive Director of the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV), a community organization on the north side of Flint that offers both academic and athletic programs to underserved, at-risk youth. Originally from Boston, Ms. Rasool traveled the world with her family until they eventually settled in Flint when she was young. Bridging Flint’s unique neighborhoods and serving its equally diverse people, Ms. Rasool also sits on the Boards of Directors for the YWCA and Wellness Services. On issues ranging from educational and nutritional deficiencies to economic and water crises, Ms. Rasool works tirelessly to transform Flint into a just and equitable city by removing the structural barriers that can prevent children from reaching their full potential.”

Dr. Naveed Mallick

Dr. Naveed Mallick is an experienced primary care doctor and sleep medicine specialist. He has served on staff at four safety net hospitals in both internal medicine and pulmonary medicine departments. He has helped start several sleep labs in prominent health systems and has been involved in lab accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He currently directs two hospital-based sleep programs in the Chicago area.
In addition to having experience in both public and private health systems, Dr. Mallick has extensive experience in working in safety net hospital systems including Sinai Health. He is also a staff physician at IMAN clinic which is a federally qualified health center. His career began at Cook County Health and Hospital System where he served for 16 years as a Senior Attending Physician in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
He is board certified in internal medicine and sleep medicine credentialed by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Mallick has been awarded certification as an asthma champion and a specialist in clinical hypertension. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
He graduated from the University of Illinois medical school in 1997 and completed his residency at Rush University in 2000. He is also a board certified sleep medicine specialist, having completed his fellowship in sleep medicine at University of Chicago in 2007. Dr Mallick has lived and raised his family on the south side of Chicago for the last 20 years.

Atif Bawahab is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Insight Chicago, as well as the Chief Strategy Officer of Insight Management and Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Insight Surgical Hospital. Atif identifies and develops strategic relationships with potential clients and partners while focusing on the vision for the company. He has been in medical practice and hospital management for over ten years and lead the acquisition of the Hospital. A strong believer in the power of positive thinking, Atif is always looking to grow Insight and be an advocate for the patients and employees he serves. Atif received his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from the University of Minnesota. Prior to that, he graduated with a Bachelors in Business Economics from Texas A&M University.

On a personal level, Nadir is dedicated to the vitalization of underserved communities such as Flint, Michigan. He is a member of the Flint Society for Social Business and is on the board of Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village, a not-for-profit organization focused on the empowerment of youth. Nadir is married to Ayesha, with whom he shares an immense love for travel & adventure and as such, they have been to over 25 countries in 5 continents and counting. He has also completed the 180-mile MS-150 bicycle ride from Houston to Austin for four years in support of finding a cure for MS. He holds a bachelor’s degree in genetics and a minor in business from Texas A&M University and holds an MBA with a focus on operation and strategy from the University of Michigan.

Ali Madha

Ali Madha joined Insight in 2011 supporting revenue cycle management and now serves as Chief Operating Officer for Insight Chicago. Ali has held various roles at Insight with increasing responsibility, including serving as Vice President of Operations for Insight. Since 2011, Ali has been a leader across multiple divisions of Insight. Ali’s management of Insight’s Negotiation and Appeals division for medical billing has been the foundation of Insight’s recent growth and expansion. Ali holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Ali is committed to giving back to the community, particularly supporting young people to achieve their educational goals and is involved with community-based projects through Insight’s charitable giving. Ali and his wife split their time between Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood and Novi, Michigan.
